Vs. Albuterol Ventolin?
I have had asthma all my life. When I was a kid, I had to have a rescue inhaler around me almost all the time. Fifteen years ago, a doctor put me on Flovent once a day and my asthma is under control since then. However, I sometimes (Rarely) still need a rescue inhaler (long trips, the days of smog, etc.) from time to time. But when I use Albuterol (the stuff I used that as a kid) I feel like a heart attack is imminent and / or I'm having a panic attack! But Ventolin does not do this … is it not the same thing? Salbutamol use is ProAir. The kind I took as a kid did not make me feel this fast if I had not much of him.
ProAir and Ventolin (Proventil and Xopenex as well) are the mark 4 (there is no generic) HFA (ozone) rescue inhalers. The major difference between them is that ProAir uses ethanol as co-solvent Ventolin contrary, the only four that uses not ethanol and ethanol-in inhalers is a proven bronchoconstrictor some asthmatics (13 of our petition LINK). Ethanol is probably what is causing your ProAir side-effects, it would be wise not to push your luck. (The other two use a drop of ethanol and oleic acid as co-solvents, salbutamol you used as a kid, well-CFC-salbutamol commands that will be banned 01/01/2009 "saving the ozone layer," even if free inhalers CFC CFC emit too little to harm the ozone layer used only oleic acid as co-solvent. It is still available for those who want try the gold standard of rescue inhalers before it was banned, Thanks for the Enviro-freaks who drafted the Montreal Protocol and the amendment 1990 to the U.S. Clean Air Act), many doctors now believe that propellant HFA-134a is not as safe and effective as CFC-11, 12 is for all patients we were told it was by the FDA. We have more than 2,500 patients who suffer severely from the HFA inhalers-albuterol HFA not only, but HFA, Qvar HFA, Flovent HFA, etc. Many patients do fine with Atrovent HFA-some even prefer. There are many who can not tolerate, however (we have adverse effects on our clinical trials comparing petition side effects of Proventil and Ventolin CFC-albuterol with anyone with a triple digit IQ choose CFC salbutamol in 60 seconds (LINKS 5,6). Our fourth patient asthmatic MD / just signed our petition to save CFC INHALERS yesterday. We many RRT, nurses, and a doctorate holders. If you do better with Ventolin HFA (Ventolin CFC has been unavailable for several years) use. We have many more complaints than any other brand ProAir HFA, Ventolin and much less Xopenex. You can get GlaxoSmithKline (the manufacturer of original brand) Ventolin HFA much cheaper from Canada-I got mine from www.canadapharmacy.com (ratiopharm salbutamol HFA is a non-acceptable ethanol generic-salbutamol = Salbutamol). I liked the best Ventolin 4 for the relief / general feeling, but had side effects, forcing me to use Xopenex. I suggest everyone try Ventolin first and carefully monitor for weeks because of side effects, they may come slowly. Any Obviously, most people have no serious side effects. To join our fight to save CFC inhalers Google 'save CFC or visit here: Although PS http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/saveCFCinhalers/ Flovent HFA inhaler now also used as Ventolin, it uses no ethanol.
